Im looking for any good japanese anime. I just got done watching naruto, hunter x hunter and fullmetal alchemist. I'm looking for anime that deals with some little 14 or 16 year old kid, ,searching for something or becoming something. My girlfriends likes that kind of anime plot. If anybody can help, that would be great.

i think anime is kinda crazy but was forced to watch "PRINCESS MONONOKE" and it was pretty cool. its about this kid who gets possessed and has to seek the forest god and these other people are trying to kill some animals and dig for gold or oil or something. and there are some pigs that try to kill the bad people and some wolves who dont really trust anybody and some girl that was raised by wolves. ok so the only thing i really remember is that billy bob thornton, billy crudup, and minnie driver voiced some of the characters.

Well, it doesn't deal with a 14 or 16 year old, but Trigun is great. The first like, 3 episodes are silly, but then it takes a dark turn and gets good. The main character is searching for something and becomes something.
I haven't watched it yet, but have you thought about Gunslinger Girl?
Other great animes: Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Witchunter Robin.

How bout trying 'Ouran high school host club'? This anime is about a bunch of rich boys that had made a club. In the club, their job is to impress or make the ladies around them feel happy. But one day, a very inteligent 'commoner'(not so rich person) that manage to come in to this rich school found them in their usual place, the unused music room at the end of the north hallway. She had broke a vase that belongs to them and was forced to work for them in the club as the vase was so expensive. She was also mistaken as boy (with her looks). This screwball romantic comedy will sure make everyone laugh to tears with their cute characters!

Samurai Champloo - 16 yr old girl searching for the " SunFlower Samurai " and her and other two guys help her find the Samurai. Really great Anime! I Love it.

Rurouni Kenshin, yu yu hakusho.
Havent really watched many animes since they are time consuming & my 2 fav mangas were made into 21 & 26 episodes which blew.

samarai x sounds cool, yuyu hakusho-cool
and the ones with japanese dialogue and english subtitles has a major drawback, you have to watch the whole thing while reading, if you leave the room, you missed out on something

well i would say great teacher onisuka it's your full dose of great animation, out standing plot ,drama its got it all nothing short of one of the best animes out there check it out, and also check out gunbuster beautiful story im not ashamed to say it made me cry so check out that one to and if you ever get your hands on blade of kamui your lucky but that one was the best one for me.
