It reads CDs that I put in, but not the DVD. I tried restarting my computer because that fixes 95% of its problems but still no luck. I'm using a PC. Can anybody help me

I would assume that you are using a DVD Rom...
I think you should check either the region of the DVD or maybe your DVD rom is very sensitive.

I have a DVD player that does not read some discs that my DVD rom can... I guess its the lens.

Have it checked or cleaned...

Well, it could that the computer is too old. Or, maybe you have to install the drivers for it to read.

Right click my computer>manage>Device Manager>then see if the DVD drive is on their. It should show up when you start your computer, but ive had special occasions where I have to install drivers to make the computer realize that I installed new hardware. If it has a yellow ! mark, its not working. And if it doesnt, then id search for new updates for it. Which you right click and hit update drivers.

clean the DVD lens by a lens cleaner. thats it
