What would you say was the last great era of music?

Me I would say the early 1990s (around 1991) before the grunge wave came along, ever since the grunge wave came along the music has been going downhill ever since and we ended up getting the totally awful nu-metal bands and the emo artists/bands.

I loved the 70s and 80s the best for rock and blues genres of
music. Not the disco music but the different genres of rock.
