the first one was probably an evaporation line. those tend to look greyish or like an indent. a true positive will be colored like the control line, but it may not be as dark.
try again later this week and if you get another pinkish test line, give your doctor a call. :D

I had my "period" for the first 6 months of my first pregnancy. Women in my family frequently do, and are generally considered by the doc to be liars until she sees the proof the next month! I found out i was pregnant in month five because my doctor told me as a teenager that I could not have children! So pregnancy never occurred to me when morning sickness hit me the same time flu hit my co-workers! My pregnancy test came back with a very bright line for the first one one. With my second pregnancy I found out several days before my period was due, and the line was very very faint, and with my third, I found out at around the same time and I used the clear blue easy digital, I tested negative the day before, and positive the next day! Also from everything I have read, false positives are almost impossible to achieve, generally only occurring in women who have taken fertility medications( and doctors will tell you of this side effect when they prescribe the medication!). there is something called an evaporation line that will occur sometimes, you can see an example of this on www.peeonastick.com! I believe with all my heart that you are pregnant and should see a doctor asap! Congrats!!!

There is a reason for this. women can get pregnant and have an early miscarriage for many reason. Women have them all the time and don't know it. Usually they just think they are having a heavy period and think nothing of it. Sometimes these miscarriages are due to stress, genetic deformities are the woman's hormones are off and unable to support the baby.i would not feel bad about it it happens all the time. it is natures way of making sure you have a healthy baby. If you are trying to have a baby and this keeps happening then you need to go to the doctor. they will check your hormones and if that is the problem then they will give you a hormone treatment to help you support the baby through out pregnancy. If you are going through stress you should tell your doctor. let them know that you are trying to have a baby and they will give you something to calm your nerves that will be safe for you to take during pregnancy. It isn't a happy pill and does not mean you are crazy. Everyone goes through stress and it just to help you so that you can be calm enough to have a baby and deal with the things going on in your life. Many woman have pregnancies that don't make it through the first month. In fact most miscarriages are during the first three months of conception. I wish you the best. I hope this helps.

It would be very unusual to get a false positive from a pregnancy test because the line shows up to indicate the presence of a certain hormone that you only have when pregnant. The more likely answer is that you really were pregnant and miscarried. Some experts think as many as fifty percent of pregnancies miscarry, but that the mothers usually don't notice it as anything more than a late and possibly heavier than normal period.

Start picking baby names, you are in the family way. Let me guess your last period was light and short. You can get false negatives, but not false positives. Go to the doctor, most OBGYNs won't see you yet, but you can try it anyway. Tell them that you got a positive ept and you wanted confirmation. Redpeach is wrong I know women that have had periods throughout their pregnancy, it is not uncommon. I know of a woman that got pregnant while she was pregnant. She was a rare case of double organs, but she got pregnant while she was already pregnant.

I would go to the doctor and get a blood test done. False positives are much more rare than false negatives. If you're getting a positive I would think most likely you're pregnant.

there is no such thing as a false positive pregnancy test. the way the test works is they pick up a hormone that your body only produces while pregnant. if you weren't pregnant, the test wouldn't pick it up. women can't have periods while they are pregnant, but they can bleed. you might want to see a doctor and get a blood test done.

I have never had a false positive. I've had positives and negatives but they were always correct.
