couldn't it be descriminition to shorter women I am 5'1 not to be able to be runway models (High Fashion). I know there are other venus, magazine clothes model, hand model, commercial areas.. there are lot's of georgous women under the 5'9 that if given chances could do well.We say it isn't fair, they say no it isn't but thats the way it is.They say the market doesn't want short models, but how do you know what you want or don't want if you've never tried it? If you below these height standards would you like to model? Just curious

When I was young ( a long time ago) I wanted to be an airline stewardess ( now called flight attendant - it was a LONG time ago). Anyway, being 5'3 I wasn't tall enough to even apply.
A few brave souls after that called that for what it was, discrimination, and the "rules" changed.
So no, it's not fair that us short folks cannot be considered for certain positions.
I guess that is why we shouldn't tell our kids that they can be any thing they want to be when they grow up. If a guy reaches the height of 5'8" he won't be able to be a pro basket ball player. If a guys grows to 6' 8 he won't be able to be a horse racing jocky....

I guess the moral of the story is, make the best of what you have, and hope that if there is true discrimination, someone will stand up for what is right!
