Garfield the cat. He's fat, lazy, selfish, and well a cat. But the comic strips are hilarious and I really do like them. There were cartoons and movies as well. If you don't know Garfield, you had no childhood. Also these. Peppermint Patty (A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving) - invites herself to Charlie Brown's house, along with Marcie and Franklin. The Grinch Who Stole Christmas - Self explanitory. There's a movie and a cartoon special.

Shikamaru from Naruto is lazy but brilliant, Garfield, Homer Simpson, and Wimpy from Popeye I think are lazy characters. Mr Krabs from Spongebob, Mr Burns from the Simpsons and Daffy Duck have greedy attitudes about life.

The first lazy cartoon character I thought of was Pa Bear of the Hillbilly Bears. I think nowadays that would be a stereotype, but it's a cartoon I remember as part of the Magilla Gorilla series of cartoons.

The king of them all is Speedy Gonzalez' cousin Slow-poke Rodriguez. He's in a bunch of old Warner Bros. Looney Tunes cartoons and may be hard to find now because he is not politically correct, but funny as hell--one of Mel Blanc's best voices.
