unless we can provide all our citizens, irrespective of caste, class, status etc. a decent lifestyle which everyone perceives as reasonable for his present standing in life with the hope of doing better in the future, we cannot eradicate corruption. However, once we are able to eradicate corruption, peace and neatness will automatically follow in it's footsteps.

Corruption can never be eradicated. This tendency was prevailing in olden days. Kings used to bestow extra favours to get their wishes fulfilled. Even in India policemen and other bureaucrats are honoured for having done their work courageously that is their duty. Is it not corruption? Education and equal opportunities without any favour can bring this scourge down to certain extent. Disparity among citizens is one of the main reasons for corruption. Can we avoid this disparity?

Yes, we can eradicate corruption, but its not likely to happen. The most corrupt group of people in the US are its politicians. Why would these lawmakers change the laws to to put themselves in prison. And that pretty much answers the rest of your question.

I think the people who are ruling and controlling the wealth of India are not interested in that. They are afraid that if you enhance the quality of life, then the labour cost will go up and they won't be able to compete with others and retain their supremacy. Just put yourself in the shoes of TATAs, Birlas, Ambanis etc. Will you like that ?.

Yes we can eradicate corruption from our country if all citizens
commits to themselves of not doing so. In short term they may
suffer but in long term,it will be beneficial for all.
