Boyfriend or future -- your choice. Boys will still be around in a few years but your future slips away a day at a time. Don't waste your time now. Study hard and get a good education first. I know it seems like you will never get there, but time really does fly in retrospect. Good luck!

I think 14 is to young for a boyfriend ... you should be worried about your education, having a boyfriend can be distracting at any age. Maybe you should consider taking a friend to the batch night out.

I think a girl should be at least 16 before dating.I don't know what you mean by a batch night but if it's a school dance, then I think you could have a "date" because you will be chaperoned. You have a lot of years ahead of you for dates.

In my opinion, no. Definitely not, if you're only doing it because all your friends are. Some 14 year olds can handle dating, but not often. In my experience, the younger you start, the shorter, less satisfying your relationships are. I'm 16 and I still haven't had a boyfriend, but I know a lot of my friends now have self-esteem issues because they starting dating too early.

I was not allowed to have a boyfriend until I was 16. I think 14 is to young, but now days girls start having babies at 14, so it is your mistake to make.

I think that it is okay as long as the relationship is casual...I do believe that you need a few more years on you to understand what it means to have a serious relationship (this is with no offense to you by any means).
Then again, you're at a time in your life where you don't have to be tied down with relationships...just enjoy what comes at you!

i am way past that age and i say its not really that advisable.. i had one when i was that age and i had totally regretted it.. our maturity is not that up to the point of keeping a relationship yet. we can easily be fooled by boys of older age.
i say just keep a bunch of friends, males and females, doesn't matter. always go out in a group.
feeling a lil bit lonely when friends go out in pairs sucks. you may agree to go out on dates too if someone asks you out. but then, try not to commit yet.
enjoy being single for now! :)

I don't think 14yr.olds should have a BF.It's so young. You have a whole life time. It's ok to have guy friends or to ask them to go to batch night with you.Just tell them as friends.
