My daughters work as hostesses in a restaurant. I think you can only work if the restaurant doesn't sell alcohol. Super market chains are also good about working with your school schedule.

Okay, I started at this small restraunt in my town when I was 15. I got paid (started out) 6 bucks an hr. Then worked my way up, to where I am now (age 17, almost 18, looking for a new job) one of the top cooks, and getting 8 bucks an hour.
If you dont want to work in a restraunt your best buck is babysitting. I'm not sure what else there is, but then again it is california and not indiana lol, so you might have more choices where you are.
Good luck!
P.S.
Ever since I started that job I never let my parents pay for anything of mine, except for medical. :)

The easiest job to get into for a 15 year old girl is baby-sitting. That doesn't mean it is an easy job, but although it can be challenging, it can also be fun. :) Think of it as playing house. Whether you plan to get married or have a room mate when you move away from home, you'll need to know how to make popcorn and peaceably pick out a movie to watch with another person. In other words, baby-sitting will help you build people and domestic skills while you clean up children's spills. ;) Ask other young women in your area about how much to charge and for possible client names.

When I was 15, I worked at Sonic. I'm not sure if you have one there. I made $4.25/hour plus tips that we shared. But some Sonic's actually let you keep whatever you make. It's really simple. You bring people food. It's simple and as long as you're 15, you can't work too many hours. So it works out.

try setting up your own pretend business.
business is really hard, but the more experience you have with it, the more chance's that you'll be success-full.
try simply walking your neighbor's dogs.
use yahoo answers to find a good price to walk dogs at per hour and charge that to your customers.
oh, and its never ever too early to start a Roth IRA (retirement fund)
if you start saving money now... you wont have to work for the rest of your life.
good luck and work hard. always.

well..... you are young but if you really want some extra cash you could work at a fast food restaurant, theres also: babysitting you could earn 8 dollars an hour, theres dog walkers, you could work at school you just ask your principal and maybe he/she could give you one, you could work on a library, or a maid, ice cream seller, you could also work at a laundry store and many more... but i doubt you could survive on you own so why not be contented first with your parents and go to college then you could get a real job and earn lots of money!!!! =)
