Absolutely not! I'm even female and let me say that if your willing to actually learn ballroom dancing then you are ok to meet girls. Girls love it when a guy can dance, especially if it's not the bump-n-grind nasty stuff, I mean really dance. Word of advice, if you meet a girl that you like and you end up interested in eachother and she asks why you joined B.Dancing, DO NOT SAY that is was to meet girls. Say something along the lines of "well I just think it seemed interesting and I hear it's a great workout." Maybe not so cheesy sounding but you know what I mean. If she sounds doubtful and she thinks you are gay tell her that you knew she was a dancer and you wanted to learn to dance so that you could dance with her someday. She'll like that if she's into that romantic stuff and most dancers are so dance on!!!

Since one of your reasons is actually to learn ballroom dancing, no, it's perfectly OK.
Finding a way to work with an interst of yours or taking a course to learn something that you interested in or to improve your skills in something is actually a great way to meet people. And you'll know that you have at least one thing in common. That's a great start to any possible relationship, even if you just end up as friends.

No, there's nothing wrong with joining the ballroom dancing team to meet girls! It's actually a great way to meet women - most women love to dance, and they love a guy who's got good dance moves! Good luck and I hope you meet a really nice girl who really likes you!

Not at all but be careful. You have to realize that if you get into a relationship and it doesn't work out, things could get awkward. Also limit the number of girls you date from the team, you don't want to be one of those slimy guys who's dated everyone on the team (or maybe you do!).

no it is an acceptable reason, though you should also be intrested in learning different dance styles for fun and to impress the gi.rls you will meet. In college, perfectly normal.
