A simple question?!?

If the police are going to catch smugglers in a nature reserve, will they turn on their sirens while arriving at the scene?

I don't actually know the answer to your question, but I would guess that it depends on the situation. In reality, a siren isn't used to warn the bad guys that you're coming after them. It's there to warn other drivers to let you pass so you can catch the bad guys.

So, if there is a lot of traffic in the nature reserve, they would probably use a siren. If there are special circumstances, like the animals in the reserve would be harmed by the loud noise, they probably wouldn't.

I would guess that most pursuits of smugglers would be done as clandestinely as possible, meaning the cops would rather sneak up on them than chase.

I'm sure they wouldn't because the smugglers would know to run, but if that wasn't a factor, then they wouldnt care about upsetting the environment, the worst that could happen is a few animals would be scared and hide for a day or two or they might drive over a rare fern or something...
No biggie right???

I dont think so. It could cause some of the animals to have heart attacks and die. Also, it would notify the smugglers that they are there and they would destroy the evidence and run. I just dont think they'd turn the sirens on
