Here's the thing, I'm delaying my home business from starting due to safety concerns. I want to protect my home address from being publicized and I would like the P.O. Box to help me in doing that. So can I just use the P.O. Box, even the smallest one, but have them really mail to my house?

I live in Southern California if that will be any help!

or are there any inexpensive alternatives?

Thanks for the answers!

Your simplest answer is to rent a PO box for the size that will accommodate your mail and actually go pick it it up at the post office. That is what legitimate business owners do.

Your other alternative is to rent the post office box and then put in a temporary forward to your home address until your "safety issues" are resolved.

For a fee you would have to place a request to have all mail going to that box forwarded to your home with a begin and end date.

won't work with us postal. go strike up a deal with your local independent mailbox provider. pay a fee for redirecting mail.
