Yes, my great-grandmother and my middle names are from my grandmother and my great-great-grandmother. My mother made it a point that I should not be named after her as her name is hideous.

I was named after my father, I had to be rushed to a different hospital for 2 blood transfusions, so they had to come up with a name fast, they wouldn't let my parents take me without a name first. My name is robert, but I think it should have been james, james just sounds right.

I wasn't but my oldest son's first name was my brother's name, my second son's middle name is the same as my dad, and my daughter's middle name was my mother's middle name. Gotta keep it all in the fam! :)
