ok i let my sister borow my car its a cadillac 1996 deville when i first got the car i went to a car wash and while i was there i dont know what i press that it set of the theft system it dosent make any noise but still when you put in the key it tells you .you set the theft system alarm she just call and is stuck at the mcdonald parking lot .well anyways that day at the carwash the mechanic that came out told me what fuses to disconnect then reconnect and the car started does any one know what resets it oir what fuse i dont remmember please help

i own a repair shop,and its the fuse marked alarm system on it,i don't know the number of it though but have had the same problem,you have to pull it out and then re-install it that set it ,that's the only one i know of that does this,but it wont start until this is done,good luck,if she has good eyes she can see it written on the cover .

The owners manual will tell you which fuse. Also sometimes there is a button underneath the dashboard that simply resets the theft system just by pressing it.

Open the fuse box, there'll be a diagram on the door of it. Leave it unplugged, there's a problem somewhere, not worth the hassle if you feel safe without it.
