A democracy is when the people decide what govermnent they want. Bolivia is a democracy the people decided they want socialism. bu$h's definition of democracy is when he can control other countries

democracies in our day in age are actually Democratic Republics, There is actually only one true democracy and it is Israel. to be a true democracy is hard. 1) You need a very cohesive government. 2) You need a happy middle and lower class. 3) You need a well informed and a highly engaged voting base.4) You need also a small voting base (You would vote on every law)
Since in most countries this is immpossible, when the President or history teachers say Democratic counties, it is understood as a Democratic-Republic.
