Lil Wayne don't even write for himself. You can tell by how his style took a dramatic improvement over the past 3-4 yrs. I would definitely have to disagree w/ that statement. As for the best, right now that is a open position, hip-hop ain't dead, but it's on life support...

I think Lil wayne is not the best rapper alive but he is pretty good at rapping.I do love that song " want you"

Hard to say who is the best rapper ALIVE. I mean, they each have their own styles, right. I love will.i.am, but Lil Wayne is good too. Also, Jay-Z, Nas....etc.

i'll admit he's got talent...but he's not the best rapper alive...i think rappers like jay-z, papoose, common, mos def have better lyrical content than him...weezy f. baby is just the "it" guy right now i don't think he will be able to sustain himself like 20 yrs down the road...
