They talk about how beautiful mexico is and want us to visit it because its so wonderful. ?? If it's so wonderful, why are all of the mexican's flocking over here ?? Have you driven through southern sandiego lately ? It looks like Mexico is taking back Calif. One city block at a time !! Its terrible !!

If you are interested in history and culture, Mexico is a wonderful place to visit. They may have a troubled economy, but that doesn't take away from its other attributes. By the way, don't think the border cities are represenative of the rest of Mexico--they are not. Take a trip sometime to Guanajuato, Oaxaca, Zacatecas or San Cristobal de las Casas, or one of the other fabled colonial cities and you will see what I mean. The pre-hispanic sites are well worth it, too, places such as Monte Alban, Teotihuacan, Palenque, Uxmal, and Chichen-Itza.

Mexico is the beautiful country that is advertised and a wonderful place for a vacation. The Mexican people are extremely gracious. It is, nevertheless, a second world country (not third), and there is still a great deal of poverty. That's not a defense of illegal immigration, just a fact. One has nothing to do with the other. Yes, many Mexicans illegally enter the US, and yes, it is a gorgeous country to visit.
I lived in Mexico for 10 years and I was treated graciously at all times.

mexico is beautiful. the reason they go to the states is because the wages are eight bucks a day.
