This has nothing to do with colour vision testing.

Red and green have different wavelengths and do not focus on the retina at the back of your eye at the same time.

It tells us whether you are focussing or whether your eyes are relaxed.

This test works even when people are colour deficient (colour blind) and cannot see the colour of the background.

Might have to do with discerning colors, - some people don't see some colors as different. Might have to do with discerning that you use both eyes together.

To see if you are colored blind. Those that are can not see red or green.
