I have approx. 500 sets and they are 4 generations old, I have seen some on line that are pricing for upwards of $1,200.00 a set, but how do I find out what mine are worth?

Depends on what they are?

If you have some 18th century Meissen, French hand painted porcelain or Italian majolica, they will naturally bring more than 19th century american, Noritake or Nippon...

You have everything from Prussian, Royal Rudolstadt to English Sterling... The possibilities are endless and it is important to determine value...

You can't determine value with such a generic term as salt and pepper shakers...It is impossible unless you provide the maker and or origin of each set.

It depends how bad your food is. If very bad, salt shaker worth alot to poor person who has to eat your food. Lol.

Try antique auctions on the internet. But since you have 500sets I would say not very much. Nothing in common is worth alot.

Auction them on e-bay, sure you can fetch good price. Try it.
