Personally, I don't think Lucy Liu is that hot. I mean, she's alright, but she's like the only mainstream Asian actress in Hollywood. However, I do watch a few Asian dramas made in Asia, and the actresses don't look anything like her. They tend to have different looks, and I was wondering if people in America generally think thats attractive in Asian people.
Also, after looking at these pics of other Chinese actresses, tell me if you still think Lucy Liu is so hot.

Well, I think that Lucy Liu is a well-known actress because of her English. She's been in at least 4 movies that I know of. Maybe it's also because of her English name, Lucy.
Vicky Zhao is somewhat well known. She was in the movie Shaolin Soccer with Stephen Chow (male Chinese actor and martial artist). I think she speaks English. The movie Shaolin Soccer was in both English and Chinese (Cantonese) so Americans can enjoy the movie. She could have been well known by this.
Seems to me, America is demanding more "hot, skinny actresses" and both of these Chinese women fit the demand. I personally have not heard any of the other Chinese women you listed.
Yes, they are somewhat pretty. But Lucy Liu looks like Jet Li (face problems, the cheeks especially) and I favor Vicky over Lucy.

Yea, I agree with you. I never thought Lucy Liu was really hot either, but it's pretty much just because she's the "most famous" from being in US movies that everyone's so into her - they don't really know other asian actresses to compare her to.
zhang ziyi's definitely prettier than her, and so are vicky zhao and rainie yang (dby girl, right?).

Yes, I agree with you in every aspect; though i cannot emphasize to you enough how rainie yang is not Chinese and would not like to be considered Chinese...thence, she's TAIwanese. Gong Li is really pretty, but I do not know of her origins and I do think she is 100% better looking than Lucy Liu. Lucy Liu looks like a pile of dung compared to these people (excluding Rainie Yang since you're talking Chinese here)
