My mom thinks she has menopause because her period has not been coming for 6 months now but she did not experience any hot flashes or discomfort.

Recently she has been having pains through her joints and sometimes she cannot close her hands fully into a fist. They sort of stay curled a little. Do you think it's related to menopause too?

Are there any remedies to help her? We are sort of short on money so visiting the doctor often is not the best idea. Thanks.

Joint pain can be a symptom of menopause. She can try herbal remedies like black cohosh or Dong quai but I'd suggest a doctor- check for low-income women's medical clinics in your town.

Menopause can take years to come and some dont know it. She needs to go to the dr. if she doesnt know why it stopped. She may have other problems. Her joints curling sounds like Rhuematiod Arthritis from what I have seen. She really needs to see a Dr. for that. Try a free clinic or health center? medicaid? She needs to see someone. Menopause and joint pain arent really seen related exept for bone loss which takes years and is in the spine and other areas.I am not a doctor. Please take this as my opinion only

it may or may not be menopause, but it's going to cost you a lot more later on if something is wrong and you could have taken care of it early, and didn't.
