Perhaps, the question is to general. If you will, consider revising the question like...The 10 BEST gay friendly Cities in the world...I would suggest San Francisco, Sydney, Rio, London, Manila, New York, Key Cities of Canada, Tokyo and Hong Kong. FYI, I think the BESTEST place in the world (for me) is where you feel respected, comfortable, welcomed, affirmed and valued as an individual! Not judge by your sexual gift (for me sexuality is a gift), but respected for who YOU are. Accepted by the Still Speaking GOD...who accepts you... who ever you are and where ever you are in life's journey...That is the BESTEST place!

The top ten most gay friendly states would have to be Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, California, Oregon, Minnesota, New Jersey, Georgia, and North Carolina. SaudiaArabia is probably the most homophobic country. Iran. Iraq. All muslim countries.

Well, Canada allows gay marriage so does that count as being gay friendly???
We also allow gays in our Armed Forces (unlike the US Military where the policy is "don't ask, don't tell" because if they do tell they get court marshaled!
So yeah I guess we could say that Canada is gay friendly!
Not that there aren't still lots of homophobes here. But there is bad and good in every walk of life.

Brazil is gay friendly. I know that sounds kinda peculiar, but in fact they have he largest gay pride parade in the world.
Big cities like Sao Paulo and Rio are definitely friendly. There's hundreds of gay bars and clubs in Sao Paulo that are open all night and most people don't really give a damn about your sexual orientation.
