Yes it's mutual. You don't have to get something expensive; a card or something nice or cook them dinner. Just don't forget. Candy, especially chocolate works.

Neither of you HAVE TO buy each other gifts. You should give each other something whether it is bought or not. You could dress sexy and make his favorite meal and then he could give you a massage and do whatever YOU want in the bedroom.

That's ONE alternative to buying gifts.

That depends on the couple, I buy my husband something every year and if I don't have the cash, I make him a "special" card.
