I have a stock of old batteries and do not know where to dispose.
What do you do of yours ?

My sons school is big on recycling. He made us a cute thing out of a milk gallon jug with decorations and we put the batteries in it and then bring it to the dump when its full. They accept them for free around here. dont throw them out. :) R

Most automotive stores will take it off your hand at no cost such as Murry's and Autozones. Just give them a call usually they will be happy to take them off your hands becouse they will recieve a kickback (money or credit) from the company or city for recycling.

I usually take my batteries to either a collection site (automobile service station) or as a return to the place where I purchase batteries (Sears Roebuck, or other reputable retailers.)

hardware stores have a program for some of the batteries .
the man who was on tim taylor show the al the helper guy is the spokesman for it .

Try your local recycling center/garbage dump. They took mine.
