Why does the world have a lot of problems with weave. "Extensions, weave, wigs, pieces..." is all the same thing even if you give it a different name. All races wear it. Why is it always stereotyped to be with just African Americans? We all wear weave. Please help shine some light on this issue!

well it's the fact that it's mostly african american women who have what would be categorized as "bad hair" even though EVERYONE from every culture struggles with hair...but alot of people are stupid and very self absorbed...

I personally dont care what race "owns the weave" But I think African American hair is beautiful and though I am not I still want a weave bad! I am a cosmotology student and have learned to make wigs, sew and glue weaves, and braided extensions since I was 12. Weaves are great! They broaden our spectrum of whatever looks we want to create.

Because many Black woman wear weaves. In a sense it is the same thing but then it isn't. They all are hair attachment but different types. It's just a hair myth. Black woman can't have long hair. Only White and Asian can. I guess it is because of our curly hair. And then also the fact that many Black woman don't know how to take care of their hair. Relaxers dont do no justice. We know that. The beauty standard of this country is just blinding us. It is a complicated issue.

probably because white people try to match their color pretty close, ive seen some black chicks running around with purple extensions, red weaves, half black half brown. look at tyra, she has a diffrent weave everyday lol
