I'm leaving on a jetplane. I don't know when i'll be back again.
I hope you had the time of your life.
These are just lyrics i don't know who sings them. Just the first songs that popped into my head.

A few songs jumped right into my head when I read your question. First, I will always love you" by whitney houston and originally dolly parton. Also, Leaving on a jet plane, by John Denver. More recently, Goodbye my lover by james blunt or time of your life by green day (that is the song the television show seinfeld said goodbye with). Also, a goodbye hello song, Austin by blake shelton or the dance by garth brooks if you like country

i've heard that but a little different: the dad goes to work and when he comes home he sees an ambulance pulling away slowly from his house. He ask his wife what happened but she ran inside crying. he see's his next door neighbor and ask him "Fred, what's going on?". Fred replies "Oh, it's been a crazy time, your mailman was talking to your wife when your little girl came to the door, he then just dropped to the ground. The paramedics said he had a heart attack. The thing was, your wife wasn't crying really, she was swearing at him saying 'get up to lazy bastard, no one knows'. Weird huh?"

An excellent one, "The Dance" by Garth Brooks. Try looking at the lyrics and see if you like what he is saying.
Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars alone
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I a king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have chanced it all
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance
