push in labor exactly the way you push when you poop. whoever told you that is the wrong way was WRONG. All my nurses told me if you poop on the delivery table, it means you are pushing right. good luck!

It is honestly like you are constipated. You will have nurses in there with you who have seen many many births. They can direct you and can tell you when to push. When you get to the stage where you have to push, you HAVE to push. It's a very strong urge that you get. Don't be afraid of the pushing. Like I said there are nurses to help you.

You are supposed to push like you are doing #2. You will know when the time comes, and the doctor and nurses will also coach you.

pushing does feel alot like you are having a bowel movement. But once you feel them contractions, and they finally tell you it's time to push, honey... it's a relief. it takes a lot of energy and hard work, hence the word " labor " good luck and gongrats.
