I'm not a fan of PDA in general, but I will hold my girl's hand, hug her, give a kiss on the cheek or peck on the lips, but that's as fas as I'll go.
I couldn't care less about how others feel about same sex relationships, but I do respect people in general and I'm not going to do anything that puts us all in an uncomfortable situation.

My partner and I dont usually do anything in public. Sometimes I will brush my hand on her back to remind her Im there, but other than that very rarely.
Mainly because we dont feel the need, and dont want to create a hassle.
Sometimes, like at a public event we are enjoying together or whatever we might want to kiss or something but its usually a discreet peck, not a full on pash.
There are 2 reasons we dont, 1 is because of kids. I wouldnt want to be down the mall or something and have a child see us kissing and ask there mum what the! I would rather they find out about it when they are old enough, I dont want to force the issue.
2nd is because it only takes one gay hater to punch the daylights out of you, and a 5 second kiss isnt worth a hospital stay.
I guess the second reason sums up why people do it in LBGT communities, everyone else is like you. You have no fear of being bashed, or yelled at, so you are free to show your affection and because it is ok to do so, you do.
Make the most of it I guess.
Now I am a lesbian, and I am "proud" etc, but I dont believe in forcing my life choice on others, same as I dont believe people who oppose my life choice forcing their beliefs on me.
I hope this makes sense

I am a lesbian. My wife and I hold hands, hug and small kisses in public. Deep kisses in public ONLY on rare occasions (once a year??). We are clearly a couple whenever we both feel comfortable. Walking through a mall or down a street... Most anywhere. If my wife isn't up for it, we don't act affectionate in public. It depends on the mood at the moment. We always let it be known at our jobs and at school that we're a couple. I don't care what anyone thinks of it. I only get to live my life once and I am not ashamed or afraid. If nobody likes it, they don't have to look! I feel bad for gay men because the world is less accepting of seeing 2 men being a couple in public. It's a shame because gay men are the most wonderful men and it shouldn't matter what anyone thinks of them, but they are beaten up for who they are more than anyone else. I defend them any time I see trouble. My wife and I don't grab each other's body parts or get dirty in public, but we don't act like just friends, either. Like I said, if nobody likes it, they can look the other way.

I am a girl and have been with my girl for 8 years. Yes I do show her affection in public. I do not put anything in any ones face though. If a stranger is looking in my direction and I am kissing my girl then ok. Besides if we get killed or something by mean people they will go to jail and be gay themselves. Great question.

In my car, in movie theatres. Don't really care what people think. I'm not gonna ruin a moment because of some random homophobe. But it's not hard core PDA, just holding hands, hugging, kissing with no tongue action.

Um not right in the middle of a crowd because I don't like too much attention. A peck on the lips or just holding hands if good enough for me when it comes to being in public.

my girlfriend and i hold hands everywhere that we go together and occasionally we kiss in public also. it's always just a peck on the lips- never anything more because i don't ever enjoy seeing other people do it, so i wont make others watch me.
true, it is usually easier to kiss while in the company of other LBGT.

Yes, I do public displays of affection.
I'm very dissappointed however with so many lesbians and gays who do not do pda, in my opinion their just as responsible for alienating themselves in society as anti-homosexual activists.
You know what I want to see?
An add for a jewlry company with two men.
A comercial for a cruise with two women.
Lesbians and gays are obviously not widely accepted in society, so if we're not going to accepted by choice, then force them to accept us.
Seriously though, how far up a homophobes a.s.s would it go to sit on a bench with a lesbian jewlry ad under their fachist a.s.s?
I don't know, only time'll see.

To what degree? and yes.
I think nothing of putting my arm around a woman, kissing, holding hands, embracing. I'm the touchy feely type.
I feel sorry for those who don't as they are doubtlessly dealing with shame issues.
And generally I don't pay too close attention to where I am.
fortunately I don't find myself at too many Klan rallies nor do I frequent skinhead bars etc.

We hold hands, hug, kiss but not with our tongues down each other's throat, cuddle, whether or not we are in the LGBT community. We've never had any problems with anyone doing so.
