use a heat gun at a certain distance and pick it off. There may diff shades paint due to the lack of oxidation like the rest of the car. I would say give the whole car a good wash and wax job. If you really want the car to look good get this stuff called zaino its expensive but makes the car no matter what car look spectacular.

I know that if the sun has faded the paint, and you remove the stripes it might look awful. But here is something I found that might help and the source it came from:

What is the best way to remove old stick-on type pinstripes from the paint?

If there is clear-coat type of paint over them, then there is really no way that’s reasonable at home. If not, use a heat gun or a hair dryer to soften the adhesive and then slowly peel it away. Remove the remaining adhesive residue with any of the available release solvents such as Goo Gone. Be sure to thoroughly rinse the area when you’re done.

If you have a heat gun you could heat them up and take them off alot easier than doing it cold. You can do it cold but it would be alot easier doing it after you heat it up. After you pull the graphics off use wax and grease remover to get any adheasives off.
But if the graphics were factory applied you might ant to watch out becouse they are usually applied soon after clear is sprayed to they set into the clear as it cures. So if you take them off there might be a small ridge where the sticker was. You might be able to use some 2000 grit sand paper, then use some buffing compound then polishing compound and that should get most of the ridge out.
If you applied them then i would say you should be fine. Just take you time and use a heat gun if you have access to one, then wax and grease remover to get adheasives off.

Leave them on, it'll look uglier with them off. Unless they're scratched or missing areas, even then I think they'd leave marks if you took them off.
