Is there such thing as the gift of perception?

A gift that allows you to read some of the future, and 'feel' others pain? And sometimes, mentally connect with others that have the gift?

If you mean extra-sensory perception then yes I believe this is a gift that some people have. I believe that there are people who can see into the future & who are able to sense others pain. I've heard that some people begin having psychic abilities following a traumatic event or near-death experience. It's like the experience unleashes a part of the mind that was untapped before...

I believe people do have the gift of foresight and empathy which resonates more strongly in some individuals than others. I'm not sure about reading the future becuase if that was true the powerball probably wouldn't get higher than a couple bucks. Ad I believe that some people think they have the ability of premonition but mostly it seems they are just being influnced by anxiety that makes people think something is going to happen. Although when I was drivng the other day an image of a deer popped into my mind and about a mile later I did hit a deer so maybe there is but our weak minds just don't know how to understand it.

I don't think so. If you think you are predicting the future or feel other people's pain, you are more likely picking up on subtle clues that you and maybe they aren't even aware of. Body language, facial expression can give away their pain. The words a person chooses can often give a hint about events they expect to come about. If you catch these clues and give voice to them, the other person may be amazed that you can "predict the future", even though it's what they expect or even plan to do.

As for mentally connecting with someone else, in my opinion, it's more just that you both have the same viewpoints and expectations. Scientific testing has never found anyone who can reliably demonstrate any of these abilities. James Randi has one million dollars waiting for you if you can reliably repeatedly perform any such claims. He's had it there for years, and nobody has ever claimed it. Not one person ever. Not one dime's worth.

Ooooooooh, YES.
Not bragging, but I'm this way on all these levels, and have been this way my entire life.
As far as seeing into the future, it comes spontaneously in dreams, and seems that it's "not meant" to KNOW it unless for some unexplained reason the events take place ahead of time within my dreams, which has happened in deed many times, but of course not all the time.[u know like a "warning" dream for someone]
Feeling other's pain, definately/empath
Connecting mentally/spiritually (telepathically, ESP)many times I've experienced this as well. Way too many details to be written off as "mere coincidence"/and way too many experiences regarding all this phenomena
I believe it all because I've experienced it

Precipitation is just a fancy word for rain! Yes it is a gift, without it the flowers won't grow and the forests would dry up, etc.

If you have it you are blessed ... even if some don't understand.

That depends if you think about thing logically or not...

Some phenomena can't be explained, I haven't found any.
