I've put them in a steaming room, (after i showered) and I have been spraying them a lot. have even a little light i happen to have, but they're not coming up, its been about two days. they're in plastic cups, is this really bad? any suggestions.

Yeah depending on what kind you have? You have seed you r trying to start? Cup should be OK if there is drainage. Make sure you keep the soil warm- place it in a sunny window or by a warm heater vent on the floor. Place plastic over the cup to get the moisture going. Until they sprout. Some also say soak the seeds in water until they sprout then plant.

So you are saying that the plants have leaves on them, be careful that you are not keeping them too wet this is a hard time of year because people just dont know how much water to give plants and they end up killing them all ways check the dirt and make sure it is dry before you water them depending on the size of the pot . There is a great plant treatment that could already be out in garden area's called vitamin b upstart it's made by ortho but i think other company's have started making it it fertilizes the plant and helps to take it out of shock(your plant could be in shock from being mailed to you or even cold weather or transplanting)I love this stuff it works very well and it is pretty cheap! Our hardware store sells it year around try it if your plant doesn't look better-good luck!

i don't know where you live, or what kind of salvia they are...blue?..these are perenials that need full sun and planted outside in april if you live in the north. or red?...annuals that especially need direct outside sunlight and warmth. the plastic cups are probably bad if you have no drainage holes.
