Well, I think i'm late for my period. (Stupid me didn't track it this month.) And I did have intercourse..Well..I recently got a cold, and I was wondering, could this make your period late by any chance? I DID have some kind of bleeding this month. Like the starting of my period how it usually is. But it only lasted a day..Could this cold be making my period late? Could I be pregnant? I'm confused.
*I do intend to take another pregnancy test*

Yes, any kind of illness, mild or otherwise, can cause a delay in the start of your period.

Of course, pregnancy is always possible if you've had intercourse, but I wouldn't be too worried yet. I swear, sometimes my period was late if I sneezed.

Plus, if you are stressing about it, that might not help either.

Stress on the body, including colds and other bugs, can alter your periods. So can stress. Also, it's possible that the one day could've been it...mine used to do that sometimes for whatever mysterious reason LOL. But, you could also be pregnant since you said you have had intercourse. It's best to test it again like you said and then be much more careful in the future. Are you using protection? There are diseases out there to worry about too you know and you can't tell by looking if someone has them.

If your periods are late ie. over a month or so, I really suggest you take a pg test. Out of my experience, when I was late for my periods, I experienced slight bleeding around day 40 and it lasted just for a few hours. And I was pregnant.

So go ahead and take a pg test. Be safe!

Adios!

Go to the doctor. If you are not pregnant, get some birth control. Be cheaper in the long run rather than buying prenatal kits every month. You should be using condoms as well, you can get more than pregnant having sex these days.

Take care of yourself.

Being sick can cause your period to be late. So can being under stress and worrying that you may be pregnant.
