well a file server is just for storing files but there are other server like domain controllers, mail servers, data base server, etc.

A file server is a server that stores data for network users. A network server is a broad term that could encompass servers that have any number of specific jobs. (all servers are accessed by client computer over a network) Thus a network server could be a file server.

A server is a stand alone machine use for data storing. A network server is a machine use to recive connections from other pcs , of course there are a lot of diferent network servers to do diferent things

A network server used to be something that would route network data, nowadays we have dedicated hardware for this. A file server just warehouses data for quick access.
