all others ive read about the sex is reversed i think its due to the importance of the sun to the people of the north I happen to greatly admire and call upon sol often

I was once engaged to a Norse Godess so yes i am a beleiver
Many battles were planned by Norsemen to coincide with the phases of the moon. It was belief that this would bring good fortune and success as the Moongod would shine down on them with approval.
The sun goddess was likened to a woman becuse she was warm and nurtured life and reproduced when men sowed seeds.
So yes I can accept their rationale for the reversal of other cultures
