Is the 6th generation video scheduled for release anytime soon?

Is it scheduled? No. Is it planned? Without a doubt.
As Steve Jobs proceeded to slobber over his fancy new "multi-touch" technology during the '07 Macworld Keynote, I could tell with every fiber of my being that they had something in the works for the next iPod that would sport that very feature. If my prediction is correct, the sixth-generation iPod with multi-touch technology will be released just before the coming holiday season. Undoubtedly it will boast the same specs as the widescreen iPod featured on the iPhone, but with more capacity and a different body. There is no question of that. Mark my words. I'm the first one to say this stuff - the sixth-generation iPod IS coming, and it will be exactly as I described to you. The only question is when.

If you're speaking of the new widescreen iPod, it should be released in 2007. It's called the iPhone and its scheduled to be a widescreen iPod with touch display, have internet capabilities, and a wireless phone connection through cingular I believe. It's highly anticipated although, a price has not yet been set.

i dont know, but i thought the 80gb was the 6th gen video ipod
