Your question is not so crazy if one were to assume you mean what happens to trash after it is thrown in the Landfills and what can be recycled is. It is buried and it is left to pollute our environment.
We are all running out of room because everyone thinks recycling is equivalent to salvation, when a lot of stuff can't be recycled. No one reduces and no one reuses...it is actually an enormous problem when some parts have so much trash that they need to haul it out to a different town, city, etc.
No one seems to care that poisons are seeping into our soils, water supply, eventually our air....as long as we can keep doing what we are doing!

Oh come on, you never took a trip to the landfill? What is not recycled or burned, is burried. Or in tha case of new York city where they make too much to ever bury in the area available, they haul it to sea in huge barges and dump it all in the ocean. The planet says thank you, by the way.

The majority of it goes into landfills, some goes to an incinerator but not much.

Landfills. After that, what ever is biodegradable rots, and the other stuff just sits there.
