Love is what you make of it... It is selfless and kind and commited through the good times and the bad and no i do not think marriage should be one sided... Marriage should be two sided and a couple working together through good times and bad to make it work... It takes two in a marriage not just one.

I think love is wanting your spouse to be happy and wanting to make her happy. I don't think marriage should be one sided. It's not a 50/50 deal either. Each should give 100% effort to make the other happy whether the other does or doesn't. When you got married you said "Til death do us part." Don't blame your spouse for not being what you ought to be. I take pride in doing my duty regardless of whether or not others do theirs.

love begins with attraction, lust, but when the honeymoon stage is over and we see all of their faults, love than becomes a choice and no longer just a feeling, a choice to remain in that relationship through thick and thin, and work out difficulties. love is when we can see who that person really is, and still remain faithful to them, in spite of the storms that come into our lives, because if we stay and work it out the rainbow is usually just right around the corner.

This is something that you can never explain. You have to experience it.
It is like riding a bicycle. If you have never been on a bicycle, there is no way that anybody can tell you as to how to ride a bicycle. You have to know it by experience. Love is the same !Once you are there, you will know it, without having to ask anybody.

OH, heavens no, it should be a two way street, the wife can't do everything, and the husband shouldn't expect her too. You got to give a little and get a little.
