do you think its to hide the prices until u get to the cash register?

Hollister is a company originally from Southern California.
Down there, the stores are created in an open air fashion, so there is sunlight that lights the stores up and overhead lights at night. In trying to recreate the SoCal atmosphere, the stores appear darker in closed air malls.
I hope this helps, I answer this question for my best friend every time we pass one in a mall. :)

Hahaha to the 1st guy or woman. yet no, they make it dark to attraction to infants. They blast the music and save it dark in there to make it appear as if a clubbing environment. One time, I went in there, and it replaced into exceedingly dark in there, and this female comes out of nowhere. I freaked out and screamed, and he or she did too. Low lights furniture do only no longer artwork.

haha i was gonna say that they are just hiding their prices and its hard to think if u want the item when they are umping loud music thats how it is in the hollister in the mall i go 2

Yeah, when I went to that store, it was so dark I couldn't see anything! I bought this shirt I thought I liked and I thought was cheap, but it ended up to be this ugly shirt that cost more than it was worth...which is why I don't shop there...

I know! I feel like i can't even see what the crap the clothes look like. Maybe that's why the last pants i bought there suck and at the time i liked them!
