Jimi Hendrix...he brought a whole new style to play ....in my opinion he opened a gate for all those who came later......

than you have Jimmy Page....same with him..but a different style and really can't be compared to Hendrix because their styles vary to greatly......

the same goes with Eddie Van Halen.....in his own right he brought a whole new style of playing into it... he is also a great classical guitar player......

those three I mentioned...is but a few...and really hard to compare or put into the same category with each other...they brought their own brand to metal and that is why I consider them on the top of the heap or I should say bottom...I see guitarist like the ones I mention as the foundation on which metal has been built around and over... these years............

whether you like any of the guitarist I mention or not...they all have in one way or another helped shape metal over the decades........

2 points and another many thumbs down : ( ...don't you just love opinions everyone seem to have one .. : )
