The average age that menopause starts is from 50 onwards, but that doesn't mean that it can't happen either earlier or later. There have been cases of 14 year old girls going through menopause.
Hope this helps!!!!

The average is around 50, but some women can start menopause in their 40s, and others when they are in their 50s. When you have had no periods for a year, this constitutes menopause.

You hit menopause (period stops) at 53 or so.

Your body starts preparing for it (Perimenopause) before that age usually in the 40s, but sometimes earlier (period and hormonal changes, unusual eye changes, sudden dandruff, etc.)

I'm 44 and started Perimenopause in April 2006. This will continue for another nine or ten years for me until I hit menopause.
