When I was an upstairs neighbor many years ago, I would do aerobics in my living room. This was at a normal time of day, not late or early, probably mid afternoon. The downstairs neighbor would bang on their ceiling with a broom handle to try to get me to stop. I felt bad, so I would always stop and try to schedule my workouts for when I knew they weren't home.

It's hard, they are not necessarily trying to upset you or be loud, you just have to live in your space.

I have been through this, so I can sympathize with you. All you can do is have a chat with the person above you, and if that doesn't work, then move. I had a guy above that walked like he had cement blocks tied to his feet, lol. I told him several times, and it did no good. He was a real a -hole though. Good luck.

Oooh! I have a house full of people like that next door! Drives me mad. My boyfriend is the same, bangs around everywhere, he isn't big though. Whereas I am big, and apparently I'm creepy cause nobody hears me coming, I just appear haha :)

If you know what the noise is, it should not be a worry as not knowing could be. When you live on the lower floor in some buildings this is something you have to learn to accept.

Leave him some slippers outside of his door. He'll get the point and his feet will stay warm.
