okay one everytime I try and telnet to a computer using not just the default prot 23 but otehr ports I'v tryed it gives me the messege can not connect on port what ever am I doing anything wrong

Are you sure the other computer is listening to ports other than 23? You can't all the sudden you want to decide to call it from different port number. The other side has to be listening on that port.
