i'm a teenager, who's definatley not wanting to become preganant..i sometimes even use a condom with my bc when possible. i'm on the Nuvaring right now and i keep hearing about it having the lowest dosage of hormones and i'm wondering if that might mean a higher risk of becoming pregnant. i'm now thinking about the copper iud or depo shot ..but not sure which would be better. any suggestions, stories, or anything else that could help me out with this?

Lower dosage does not mean higher risk of pregnancy. Pharmaceutical companies are coming up with several different types of estrogen and progesterone (hormones that make up the birth control pills or ring). Researchers are also discovering that it takes a lot less estrogen and progesterone to fool the body into thinking that it is pregnant (how the pill works). And on a more personal note... I use the ring also and have for a year. It is the most amazing piece of technology ever. It really takes the forgetting out of birth control.

I understand that you may not think it is necessary to use condoms because you are using another form of birth control but I think that you need to remember pregnancy isn't your only risk. In facts your in an age range that is a high risk for STDS always make your significant other use a condom.

Each persons dosage is prescribed by their doctor based on their need. A stronger dose does make it less likely that you will ovulate but it also brings other side effects and risks. Talk to your doctor about changing.

I used the copper IUD for several years after I was done having children. It worked well for me but did make my periods heavier. There are also some risks.

No lower dosage=higher risk is wrong. You have just as much protection pregnancy, it's just that it is better for you to have as little man made hormones in your body as possible. High doses of Estrogen are related to uterine and cervical cancer. Stay with the Nuvaring if you are comfortable with it, and take precautions like adding the condom. Don't be changing your meds around alot, you'll end up getting your body confused, and that's when the risk of pregnancy increases. I would like to add that I was a teenage mother at 18, and at the time I thought I was just as adult as my parents. Five years later, my child was living with his fraternal grandparents because I was still too irresponsible to care for him properly and pregnant again. I learned after that and became a very good mother, but my child suffered for something he didn't ask for or understand, so please child.........don't sleep with someone just because you have the Nuvaring, do it when you know the reasons are right.

the point is to certainly reduce spammers. because human beings can create unsolicited mail money owed, and if there change into no digital mail reduce, they could digital mail each individual who requested or replied with unsolicited mail; they'd be stated; their account might want to be closed, yet by potential of that aspect they'd be on to the subsequent account and spamming. once you've been with the region for a lengthy time period, and in case you've shown that you're in touch in asking and answering, then Yahoo trusts you no longer to unsolicited mail by potential of digital mail
