Why do we put up with this?

22 months before an election and we have to start exploratory commision to see who is going to run. god in 20 months i'll be so bored that i'll vote for anyone just to get it over with. do you think this is going to be adrawn out and crazy election?

Oh this is going to be a bad one. I don't see any presidential material on either side and people are already working themselves into a frenzy. The mud slinging will get uglier than last time cause theres more mud to sling. I'm an optimist but not in this!

At least we are having an election in 2008, and there is more of a chance this time that it will be fair and the Republicans won't be able to steal it like in 2000 and 2004.

If you want to help your country without spending any time thinking about things, the answer is simple:
1) Ignore everything that anyone says between now and November 4, 2008.
2) Don't vote in the primaries.
3) Vote for all Democrats on November 4, 2008.

Bush is lamest lame-duck president in US history. He has become so irrelevant that both political parties have raced past him on their way to the 2008 elections. It is going to be a miserable two years from that standpoint, however it is worth it because America and world will be better off with an emasculated Dubya that no one listens to.

The next president is going to have a difficult first term trying to restore America’s place as an international leader and force, as well regaining the ground lost in the war against international terrorism by the Bush administration. A two year campaign might be just the training needed for the crap awaiting the next White House resident.
