The best way to be prepared for middle school is to learn how to be organized. You will most likely be switching classes and will need to learn how to set up and keep separate folders for each class. The second thing is to buy a combination lock and start practicing how to open it. Don't buy anything else until you go to orientation before the new year starts; your new teachers or school should give you a list, as well as dress code requirements. Your current school should help prepare you for middle school; inquire with Guidance or the Front Office and see if there will be a "Open House" or trip to the local middle school. Learn what kind of sports, activities and clubs are at the middle school. Is there anything you can join now or practice so that you may have an advantage? Do you have any neighborhood friends that are in middle school? Best of Luck!

Take a breath. See this as opportunity to learn. If you have always done well in school, middle school is no different. Keep doing what you have been doing pay attention in class and make new friends.
Honestly, many many years ago when I was in middle school, it wasn't the best of times. But it is all about a phase of growing up and your times at middle school doesn't reflect on your entire life. Once you are out of middle school and then high school, you will really enjoy college.

Your elementary school should be preparing you scholastically for middle school.
You can check out what the middle school students are wearing in your area.
You will be told at middle school what supplies each teacher expects you to get.
A guidance counselor can help you pick or change classes.
You probably have some friends or neighbors who are in middle school, ask them--or observe them.
Find out if most of the kids there bring lunch, eat school lunch, or go out for lunch (if allowed).
Good luck. You may be able to find out something about your middle school online. Do a search--if nothing else, that Classmates.com should have your school.

Buy a binder, your gonna have a lot of junk to heave around. Chosse an elctive that you are good at(unless it's a begining class) beacuse if you arent you will have a low grade. But electives don't count so don't worry. Also, middle school is where people turn into IDIOTS! So make sure your not haning out wiht the wrong crowd, or you'll be an idiot too.

middle school isn't very different from elementary school. you'll make a lot of new friends, and it really isn't very stressful most of the time.
you don't really need to prepare, except you'll need to buy school supplies like folders, pencils, and other basic things. your teachers will probably give you a list of the things you'll need in their classes.
good luck in middle school next year : ] enjoy it until high school

Middle School is great. I remember those Days. 1998-2001 were the years. I member when I was in sixth grade, it was '98 and one day everybody came in talking bout britney spears (her ...baby one more time just came out). I was like who is this? What is all the commotion about over her? Then i saw why, but this is well before she became an annoying ugly tramp. Those were the days...

First off you need to get a school supplies list. But if you don't have one then buy pencils, markers, paper, folders, and a big binder or a a notebook for 7 0r 8 classes.
