the best people has some real mean qualities in them?

definitely.
Typically "mean" people are that way out of fear. Fear of being hurt, rejected, or somebody being mean to them. Take a school bully for example....most bullies are cowards who can't get a handle on their emotions. They are terrified of becoming the person they are bullying.
Now for good people.... everybody has a dark spot inside of them. It is a survival instinct mostly. Typically again, fear brings that quality out. I am a basically good person, but if I thought someone could injure my child in any way the gloves come off. I would do anything for anybody, but once I am pushed I will push back. Its just human nature.

People are human and everyone has good and bad in them. I had some people be blatantly mean to me. Mean people who are mean on purpose don't have peace in their hearts so they compensate their misery by trying to make others miserable,
Understand that even the best people have faults and the only one who is truly perfect is God my point is everyone has good and bad in them but it is up to the person to choose what path he/she will follow.

I think all people mean or best have a good side.. and a bad side.. the bad side i think is cause of insecurities.. and maybe abuse in life.. everyone has good and bad
