Hi,

I just bought a laptop tonight that was the last one on display at a retail store. How do I reset everything to factory settings? I want it to be just like if I were to open it from a sealed box.

By the way, it's running Windows XP Professional.

Thanks!

It depends on the Notebook. If it's a Thinkpad, reboot and press the Blue Button. For other notebooks you'd have to look on the Vendor's webiste. Generally this is called Factory Restore. You should have asked the store to do it for you.
