How many people have existed throughout the centuries?

Question

What's the total number of human beings that existed on the face of Earth since the beginning of time?!! Approximately of course :)

Last year on the Discovery Channel they estimated that the current world population is equal to the total population that had lived before or roughly 10 billion total.

I don't recall where I read it, but I did read that the estimate is 12billion humans have existed. On a side note, compared with the current population level, it means that we have a 50/50 chance of never dying, seeing as half of the people ever born are still alive....

Billions, ( not thousands ) all alive and gone like us. Now there are billions in China and Asia alone.

We are at the top of the food chain, a very successful species! Unfortunately we now threaten the Earth's ecosystems and thereby threaten our own existence.

And, we don't take care of each other the way we should.

Look up global warming. The Earth will survive ... many of us may not !

Most of the people that have ever lived are alive today, and almost all have lived within the past hundred years. This permits an educated guess of around ten billion.

well its not possible to get a exact number but it would probably be around a trillion. another thing is that in early humanity the homespapiann were all killed by todays humans who were alot stronger and smarter then homesapian and that was the only species of humons that was fully killed
