⅓ = 13/39. I used the 1 and the 3 in the number 13. If you take 13 * 3 it equals 39. Then if you divide 39 by 13 you get .333333333 etc. The same as you get when you divide 1 by 3. What do I win?? ;)
I have a feeling that I didn't really answer the question right. Am I way off?

Well if you can ONLY use 1 and 3 sorry, I don't know...but if you have to use 1 and 3 but you can use another number I do know! you can make it 10/30. I hope this helped =]

dosn't matter what you do. As long as you do the samething to the numerator and the denominator. You still end up with one third. I hope that helps.
