I've been using ProActiv for several years now and it has helped tremendously! I think that the reason many people are complaining is because they do not use it as often as they should.you need to use it twice or once a day in order for it to work. Anyhow, my acne is cleared up now. Also it is very expensive so I'd recomend once a day because twice doesn't really make a difference. Many people are lieing about using it because they are annoyed with all the questions asked about it. Also there was like a guarentee that it will work so if they hated this product so much they would call the company and complain about the guarentee. So I'm glafd that you are getting this for your cousin I think you said? Anyhow......... I hope you have a good day and I'm sure this product will work for you. By the way if you are planning on getting it I think you should get the ProActiv coverup which covers the pimples when they are healing and going away. Also I'd recommend not touching and scratching at the pimples because they will heal slower!

I actually thinks it's the best Benzol Peroxide solution out there. I never had bad skin, but I get breakouts one in a while and proactive works great without drying my skin. Everyone is different. If Benzol peroxide doesn't work there are other option my Aunt is a pharmacists she said -Retin A Micro -Sulfer Drying Products -Salicylic Acid etc...

***ALSO NOTE Proactive doesn't tell you this, but they have and extra strength formula that has saicylic acid which is an exfoliate. Use the regular one first the extra strength maybe to strong***

-I also most state I bought it twice and had it for appoc 3 years because I hardly use it, but the once in a while I need it, it works. When I used to get an occanal breakout I tried over the counter products and they would dry my skin out.

i had pretty bad acne and i had tried everything... creams, face washes, pills, birth control... one day 6 months ago i just got fed up and decided to order some proactiv. i had heard some success stories from people i knew, plus those infomercials on tv really hook you. it has been the best thing i have done for my skin.

i find that a combination of proactiv and zapzyt (benzoyl peroxide cream 10%) works best for me. the proactiv took forever to start working (2 months). it didn't clear everything. so i added in using the zapzyt after the toner and before the lotion, and my skin has improved SO much. i still get pimples every now and then, but not nearly as much or as severe as i used to. i actually don't really mind the pimples i do get now, realizing that they are nothing compared to what i had.

looking back at pictures from 6 months ago, i can't believe how bad my skin was and how much it has improved! proactiv works the best for me. even though it's so expensive, i don't mind the price, because it's the only thing that HELPS. it won't work for everyone, and you may find that your skin gets worse before it gets better, but it's definitely worth a shot.

PROACTIV is totally worth it (from my experience.)

good luck!

Yeah, I saw the infomercial for ProActiv so I decided to try it. My cousin also has acne so I got it for him. It's cleared up a lot lately, and believe me, he's been through a lot of expensive creams and stuff. Sometimes if I get zits or maybe acne starts to appear I use Proactiv and it's gone. Basically, IT REALLY WORKS. Yeah lol. Oh, and all of my friends use proactiv too.

I've used it and it works great. Yeah it's going to work differently on everyone cause on me it work great for a long time then it stopped working because my skin became immune to it so i stopped using it for a while but I'm ordering it again because a lot of time has passed by. Yeah I would order it for your cousin cause it works great even on people with really really bad acne. Even when I stopped using it my skin didn't go back to the way it was before.

Proactiv Works, but if you don't have a good moisturizer, you might want to get one. Just out of personal experience, it dried out my skin. But then again, that is what the product is suppose to do. I know Proactiv sells their own moisturizer, but I use another brand DDF Daily Matte SPF 15 (can be found at Sephora). Overall, got rid of the pimples, but dries out skin!

I work at walgreens and a girl just came in the other night with blisters all over her face because of Proactiv. It depends on the persons skin. I also heard that it strips your natural oils and makes your face dry.

Proactiv does not work. I've tried it years ago and it broke out my skin. Every ones skin is different, mine is somewhat sensitive. Maybe that was the problem? I don't know, all I do know is that it made skin worse than what it was.

my sister in law has used it for a long time and she always has zits all over her face
there's one called acne free at wal mart that works well on my girl
not as pricey as proactiv

I had always heard great things about it, then a co-worker tried it and her skin was burned, because it was too harsh. So if your cousin gives it a shot, she should test a small area to make sure it's not too strong.

Good Luck!
